Memorial Weekend Staycation

We "got away" for the weekend.
We rented a little condo downtown Naples to see how the other half lives :)
We were one block from the beach and the iconic Naples Pier. We went down on Friday night and immediately hit the beach for evening swim and sunset.

Morgan was NOT having pictures of her taken for a few days.

We returned early on Saturday morning to SUP while the water was calm. Let me tell you, the water this weekend was gorgeous! Clear, calm, and the perfect temperature! Tony and Zach enjoyed a lot of SUP voyages up and down the coast. Tony held onto it off the shore so the kids could climb up and jump into the ocean. I spent a good deal of time reading... and I may have dozed off while Tony took the kids back to the condo for lunch.

We stayed at the beach until after 4:00 on Saturday. We packed it up and went in for dinner... the plan was to head back for sunset, but only Tony made it to that. The kids both fell asleep for the night before 6pm.

Sunday we walked around the neighborhood in the morning before heading home. We were out of lunch food and I wasn't keen on making another meal in a convection microwave. We headed home to grill out and swim in the pool before heading back down for sunset.

We both had a few "do we live here?!" moments.

The kids... well, they are kids. Maybe someday they'll appreciate long days at the beach, living in  Florida, and staycations. ;-)
